The Story

From the workshop of Bart Reiter comes a unique short scale 5-string banjo. This is his Standard Model as an A-scale with ~24-3/4" scale length allowing for a full length truss rod in the two-piece mahogany neck. At half way between a standard and true A-scale, with a frailing scoop this open-back banjo is old time ready and sits poised for easy tuning to G or A tunes. The 11" dark stained maple rim, has a rolled brass tone ring and notched tension hoop. Simple adornments are pearl dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard and a star inlayed in the ebony headstock overlay. Equipped with a No Knot tailpiece and Five Star Planetary tuners with pearloid buttons, this handcrafted in Michigan instrument comes ready for tunes in a hardshell case. On consignment.
