The Story

Based on late 19th-century features this custom open-back banjo is appointed with lots of inlays and wood marquetry. The vintage 10-15/16" hide head sets on an Electric tone ring, and a dark painted rim with ivoroid binding. It has a 2-piece flamed mahogany neck with carved  heel. Engraved mother of pearl inlays on the ebony fingerboard, the layered peghead overlay and backstrap feature the classic Gargoyle and Gryphon, respectively. Hardware is a mix of Planetary tuners, Grover 5th string peg, with a Brooks tailpiece. Comes with hard shell case. Made in USA.
