A striking example of Gibson’s top-of-the-line jazz archtop from the late ‘60s, this 1969 Barney Kessel Custom stands out with its bold double Florentine cutaways and full 17" maple hollowbody. Dressed in a cherry sunburst finish, it features a 3-piece maple neck with a bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and pearl bowtie inlays. The signature Kessel model details are all here, from the peghead inlays to the trapeze tailpiece with the engraved plaque. It’s equipped with two patent number humbuckers (non-original bridge pickup), a gold ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge on a Brazilian rosewood base, and gold waffle-back tuners. A serious vintage jazz box with style to spare. Includes the original hard shell case. Made in Kalamazoo, MI
