Hokema Sansula Renaissance Kalimba (c.2020)

Essentially a cherrywood kalimba mounted in a drum. What is special about the Sansula is the sound with its variety of overtones and vibrations, created by the resonance of the Kalimba and the membrane the Kalimba is mounted on. If you move the Sansula vertically up and down above a hard surface the reflected sound waves create an interesting Wah-Wah sound effect. Durable Remo synthetic head. Tuned A-1, C-2, C-1.
