A rare replica of Bill Monroe's 1923 F-5, this spectacular Gibson mandolin features a sunburst varnish finish on a carved spruce top and flamed maple neck, sides and neck, with a bound ebony fingerboard. Appointments of "Bill Monroe" engraved pearl truss rod and engraved, silver plated hardware. Labels signed by Bill Monroe and Larry Barnwell. Original rectangular hard shell (and case cover). Made in USA. On consignment.
